i think that giving in is the worst thing there is

I'm having those flashbacks to the days when this blog was a real blog, with stories of girls and love and heartbreak and heartache and triumphs and defeats...it feels good.

The writing of a good song that reminds us how to live (that is, how to live inside) is a difficult thing. Songwriting, and then the conversion to a real song, is a true art, no matter what they say. And I'm sure you agree.

Have any truly emotion-envoking songs on your playlists lately? Let me know...

"Konstantine" by Something Corporate, as readers of my website know. "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" has touched me recently, and with Hurricane Katrina "The Future Ain't What It Used To Be" by Pandora's Box reminds me of a song you'd sing during rapture.

1. City of Blinding Lights by U2
2. Car by Built to Spill
3. Nothing Fails by Madonna
4. American Car & Rising Sign by Mike Doughty

8. Blindfold by Morcheeba

That's what I can think of at this moment :)

If you haven't already, check out Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, and Jeff Buckley (especially Buckley's cover of Rufus Wainwright's "Hellelujah". You may also like the bands Dismemberment Plan and Spoon. Hope things are interesting for you.
